Recently I had an unexpectedly long work day ~ 12-13 hours (the first half off and on through the night), and by the day my movement was decidedly worse. I was heavily relying on the walking stick through the day, needed to lift my legs into the car, dropped asleep when I got home, and wasn’t better until the day after.
While I’m sure the stress around the time and events played a part, I think mostly it was just that my brain was running that much worse that it couldn’t do all the manual regulation of movement as well as normal. It was an eye opener at my new limitations – which I was too sleep deprived at the time to recognise.
At least I was too zoned out tired to have the usual “maybe this is my new best” thoughts that run through my mind when I have a worse than average day.
