So the home automation does voice control, charging but not overcharging devices, auto lights by lux and/or motion. What next? Estimating rain (to prep outside etc) seemed logical. But it seems, not easy.
What to factor into the logic? RH changes and rate of change, lux changes, rate of change and brightness for time of day, what else? Is it worth logging the min/max lux of the day, dawn/dusk time, etc? Should such logic be extended to notify when it might be appropriate to open/close doors, control a/c, check if the laundry cycle is done, etc?
Suddenly the scope blows out – especially given the heart of this is just node-red, hence starts with no suggested framework.
