Remote house power controls – what and where first?

I’ve got some Wemo power points on order (AGL’s deal was just too sweet), and now I face the dilemma of what and where to use them on first.

Is it the kids room, to shut it down when they are asleep, without needing to sneak/trip to the switches in the dark?

Is it the shed, in case I forgot to turn devices off, or if the neighbour (constructing a house) needs to borrow some power on his lead when I’m not there?

Is it the dogs sleeping area, so I can walk out without stumbling and turn out their lights later?

I’m sure it’d be a big hit at offices.
